The Federation of Authorised Translators (FAT) was founded in 1932.

- SELTA - Swedish-English Literary Translators Association
SELTA was established at the beginning of 1982 after several years of informal liaison among many of those active in the field of Swedish-English translation. SELTA acts as a pressure group, an information exchange and a register of translators. SELTA maintains contact with English-language and Swedish-language publishers and with relevant cultural and literary organizations in Britain, Sweden and Finland.

- SFÖ - The Swedish Association of Professional Translators
The Swedish Association of Professional Translators (SFÖ) is Sweden's largest organisation for technical and specialised translators and translation companies. The Association was formed in 1990 and now has more than 1,000 individual members and nearly 30 corporate members.

- SWU - Swedish Writers’ Union
The Swedish Writers’ Union, founded in 1893, is the central professional organisation for writers and literary translators in Sweden.
