France: Translators Associations in the country of Voltaire and Sartre

Translators Associations EuropeFrance remains one of the most influential countries in the world. It is famous for its fashion, its cuisine and also for many words used in the English language – like “cuisine”. The “liberté, égalité, fraternité” republic comprises 27 administrative regions, some of them overseas. There are over 65 million people living in France, coming from many different parts of the world.

One of the most important translation associations in the country is SFT. Another French translators association is the one that concerns literary translators, ATLF. There is also the translation association concerning judiciary translation, UNETICA, the translation companies association, CNET, the translators association of ESIT alumni, the sign language translation association, AFILS and the translators association concerning audiovisual translation, ATAA. APROTRAD is another French translators association.
